SpiceQuest August - Of Sparks and Serpents Holidays.Would I have any issues if I linked a Ubiquiti aggregation switch to another? We have some fiber runs in our building, but there isn’t enough runs to supply all my switch locations and a couple of the runs are too long for 10gig. Linking Ubiquiti Aggregation Switches Best Practices & General IT.Of late, I've been doing some research on the security advantages or drawbacks of IPv6 vis a vis IPv4, the reason for this being that I'm particularly interested in the issues of topology concealment and configuration portability (i.e. I thought others may come across this, and wanted to put this out there as another option.

As soon as KB3102810 finished installing (no reboot required), the 0% started clicking away and the updates for the Windows 10 upgrade started moving like it should have from the beginning. While I was doing this I had left the Windows 10 upgrade churning away at the Checking for Updates stage. I downloaded the KB3102810 patch and ran it. Now on a previous Windows 7 rebuild I had an issue with Windows Updates never getting past the Checking for Updates, so I thought I'd try the same fix with this one even though I didn't have a problem checking for updates in Windows 7. I dug around online, but didn't find anything that was really promising. After canceling the install, waiting for the clean up and then redownloading again (I found now that I didn't have to redownload) I had the same issue. It promised "This may take a few minutes", but that was out the window.

The "Checking for Updates" started, but stayed at 0% for hours so I knew there was an issue. At the next step is where the problem started. I ran the installer and the update downloaded and verified itself. I went directly to the Microsoft page for the Windows 10 upgrade as this was a fresh Win7 build and I didn't want to wait for the update to come. I've done several Windows 7 to Windows 10 upgrades and haven't had an issue until now.
